Chris Burke carries forward a family legacy of protection that began with his father, Bob Burke, a New York City Police Officer who founded Protection Devices, Inc. (PDI) in 1964. Inspired by his father's commitment to keeping people safe, Chris served as a Reno Police Officer for over a decade, including assignments on the SWAT team and the Gang Unit.

After retiring from law enforcement, Chris turned his full attention to leading PDI Security Systems, where he continues the family tradition of delivering reliable, high-quality security solutions backed by exceptional service—both during and after installation. Now joined by his son, Derek, Chris represents the third generation of a family business built on trust.

Derek Burke represents the third generation of the Burke family to carry on the mission his grandfather, Bob Burke, began in 1964. Raised in Reno, Nevada, Derek brings both discipline and a deep sense of duty to PDI Security Systems—values shaped by his service in the United States Army and the Nevada Army National Guard.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a degree in business, Derek serves as Lead Security Technician at PDI, where he applies his training and technical expertise to the design, installation, and service of electronic security systems. Working alongside his father, Chris, he is committed to upholding the same standard of reliable protection and exceptional service that has defined the family business for three generations.
