ProSeries Communicators & Takeover Modules

ProSeries keeps the panel simple and pushes connectivity into plug-in modules. That modular design is one of the platform's quiet strengths: communication can be specified, upgraded, or swapped without changing the panel.

PROWIFIZW — Wi-Fi and Z-Wave

The PROWIFIZW module provides the panel's Wi-Fi network connection and its Z-Wave radio for smart-home control, and it ships installed in current panels. It's also field-replaceable, so a failed radio or an automation upgrade is a quick module swap rather than a panel replacement.

PROLTE — cellular paths

For dependable monitoring you want a path that doesn't rely on the customer's internet. The PROLTE-V (Verizon) and PROLTE-A (AT&T) modules add LTE cellular, enabling true dual-path communication — primary over Wi-Fi, backup over cellular, or cellular-only where appropriate. Dual-path is the standard for accounts where a cut line or a router outage cannot be allowed to take the system offline.

PROTAKEOVER — adopting legacy sensors

The PROTAKEOVER module is the upgrade tech's best friend. It lets a ProSeries panel receive sensors from competing and legacy systems — Honeywell 5800 (345 MHz), 2GIG (345 MHz), DSC (433 MHz), Interlogix/GE (319.5 MHz), and Bosch — one frequency at a time. Combined with native PROSiX/SiX support, a PROTAKEOVER takeover lets PDI replace a panel and the app experience while keeping a building's existing devices in service, dramatically cutting the cost and disruption of a conversion.
