DMP's top-of-line control panel: intrusion, commercial fire, and access control on one platform, with encrypted communication and the scale to cover anything from a large home to a national footprint.

When an application outgrows an all-in-one panel, the DMP XR550 is where serious commercial work goes. It's a fully scalable controller that integrates three disciplines — burglary, commercial fire, and access control — in a single panel, which is unusual and operationally valuable: one system, one programming environment, one app.

Scale and capability

The XR550 carries more total zones, wireless zones, areas, keypads, and access-control doors than most panels in its class. It supports up to 500 zones across DMP 1100 Series wireless and wired LX-Bus devices, area partitioning for multi-tenant or multi-department buildings, and up to 99 schedules for areas, doors, outputs, and automation. Access control starts at 32 doors and is expandable to 96, so a building's intrusion and door-control systems live under one roof.

Security and communication

The panel uses AES encryption (128- and 256-bit options) and meets demanding certification requirements, including NIST validation — credentials that matter for government, financial, and high-security sites. Communication has moved firmly to network and cellular paths, with plug-in cellular communicators providing supervised backup so the panel stays connected even if a primary path fails. Firmware is flash-updatable, eliminating chip swaps in the field.

The fire variant

The XR550FC adds a built-in fire command center keyboard, combining access, burglary, and commercial fire with the dedicated fire annunciation a code-compliant life-safety install requires.

Where it fits

The XR550 is the panel for large commercial, industrial, high-security, and multi-site accounts — exactly the work where integrated access control and commercial fire, encrypted communications, and deep scalability justify a flagship platform.
